Hey Krystie,
The leaves are changing color, the air is getting cooler, and pumpkin spice everything is back in season. That can only mean one thing... it's time to break out the Halloween-themed activities!
This year, ditch the seeds and guts and go for something a little less messy with our Build-A-Jack-O'-Lantern Activity Set.
With three different activities, your students will "build" their own jack-o'-lanterns by simply dragging and dropping.
Plus, they provide an opportunity to work on emotional behavior... something that can be a struggle for many of our special education students.
So get into the spirit of things with these fun pumpkin-themed Jack-O-Lantern activities!
Activity #1: Match the Emotion to the Jack-O'-Lantern Face
This activity is great for working on matching emotions to facial expressions.
Students will see a jack-o'-lantern face on one side of the screen and a list of emotions on the other. They will drag and drop each emotion next to the corresponding facial expression.
This is a great way to help students understand how emotions are conveyed through facial expressions and body language.
Activity #2: Matching the Parts of the Jack-O'-Lantern
In this activity, students will match the parts of a jack-o'-lantern. They will drag and drop the pieces to match the corresponding jack-o'-lantern.
Activity #3: Make Your Own Jack-O'-Lantern and Answer "How Does it Feel?"
Halloween is just around the corner, so get into the spirit of things with these fun pumpkin-themed activities!
With three different activities, your students will "build" their own jack-o'-lanterns while working on important skills like matching emotions to facial expressions, labeling emotions, and matching.
So go ahead and break out those Halloween decorations... your student (and you!) are sure to have a spooktacular time!
xxo,
Krystie
