Great idea but a few mis-steps

I love using story kits with my students but this one had a few problems. The mud in the pix looks more like playboy, but the mud I got is slime that you could never put the other props into without training them. I actually had to go wash my hands before finishing the lesson. The smelling packets were only partially ok. There was no smell at all in my mud envelope. Sadly I can only use some of the props which makes the kit less useful.

For the slime, it’s true that it can lose its ideal texture over time. A quick fix is to mix a teaspoon of borax with one cup of warm water and gradually knead this solution into the slime. This should help reduce stickiness, making it easier to use with the props and restoring it to the texture you see in the pictures.

Regarding the 'mud' scent, we’ve designed the scent cards to be relatively mild, as we want them to enhance sensory engagement without being overpowering, especially for students with sensory sensitivities. While subtle, the scent is intended to add a hint of realism to the experience.

Great idea needs better props

The idea of enacting the story with props is a great one and get child's attention. However, the props need to be proportionate.. Was disappointed to see tiny sheep with huge pigs. the jeep is great, but too big for the trees and the pigs. Did not receive the wool.

This is such a hit with my preschoolers! They love the hands-on participation plus the sensory parts of the kit are awesome to help hold their attention! Thank you for taking the work out of story telling!

Perfection

My hope is they come out with more books like this!!! My son has level 3 non verbal Autism and this was so much fun to have to work with him. The added ‘sound effects’ are what put this a step above a five start review….it really is the best thing and I will not hesitate to by more if they come up with different book titles :)
