Terms of Use

1. Purpose

AdaptEd 4 Special Ed publishes books, handbooks, and classroom resources for educators, therapists, and families. To keep pricing fair and sustainable, all materials are licensed for individual use unless otherwise noted. Multi-user licenses are available for schools and districts.

2. Books & Handbooks

• Print copies: Each purchased book is for the individual buyer’s use. Photocopying, scanning, or distributing print copies is not permitted.
• Digital copies (PDFs): Licensed for one user. All PDFs are password-protected against editing. They may be viewed and printed, but not modified, unless explicitly labeled as Editable.
• Bundles (print + digital): The digital license still applies to one user, even if a print copy is also purchased.

3. Printable Resources (PDFs, Slides, Kits)

• Locked PDFs: By default, PDFs are password-protected to prevent editing. Printing for classroom/caseload use is permitted.
• Editable resources: If a resource is labeled Editable (such as our Social Skills Stories), it will include a link to an editable Google Slides version. Open the link and make your own copy into your Google Drive before customizing.
• Accessibility: You may adapt for accessibility needs (e.g., enlarging text, adjusting contrast, adding alt text) while keeping our copyright intact.

4. What’s Allowed

• Use resources with your own students or therapy caseload.
• Share with families of students on your roster (via print, email, or secure LMS).
• Store files in a private drive or LMS where only your students/families can access them.

5. What’s Not Allowed

• Posting files or scans to shared grade-level, department, school, or district drives without a multi-user license.
• Uploading resources to public websites, social media, or marketplaces.
• Circumventing password protection on PDFs.
• Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing under another name.
• Transferring licenses between staff.

6. Free Resources

Free downloads may be shared by linking to the product page, not the file itself, so each person can download their own copy.

7. Multi-User Licensing & Purchase Orders

• Grade/Department License – share within one grade or department at a single school.
• Site License – share across an entire campus.
• District License – share across multiple campuses in a district.

8. Refunds & Returns

Refunds and exchanges are governed by our separate Refund Policy.

9. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All AdaptEd 4 Special Ed materials are protected by copyright. Purchase provides a license for use, not ownership of the content.

10. Termination of License

AdaptEd 4 Special Ed may revoke a license if terms are violated. No refunds are issued in cases of misuse.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Updates take effect upon posting to this page.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho, USA.
